Hello, my name is Pat. I decided to create my personal blog for myself to see and compare my learning progress from the school that I am currently studying in Hollywood, CA. The school is called in full as Gnomon School of Visual Effects. It has been said to be the best art school in the world, at least in my opinion. The school are filled with many experiences artists who are working in entertainment industry such as films, commercials and gaming industry. I am very exciting to learn from the great artist and looking forward to improve my skill a lot further. Therefore, I open this blog so I can come back and see my own progress and also I want other people such as my friends and family to be able to check out my works that I have done in this school. I will try my best to upload my work at least in every school term or 10 weeks or maybe earlier than that. I hope you guys enjoy and you are welcome to comment and critique on any of my art works.
A little basic introduction about myself, my full name is Pat Ratanapol. I was born in New York in 1979 and went back to Thailand 3 years later and grew up there. After I graduated from High School in Benjamarachanusorn in Nonthaburi, I came back to US to pursue my Bachelor degree in Baltimore, MD. It's been a long journey for my college life. It was unfortunate for me to come to US when Thailand economic was in worst time ever. Plus, I started from poor speaking English and not to mention how many times I changed my major. Anyway, in the end, I was able to get my Bachelor degree in Simulation and Digital Entertainment. Right now, I'm still continuing in my school journey, but this time it's all about fun stuffs with minimal to no reading. It's probably the best time in school ever for me at this point and I am very looking forward to it.
